ok, does anyone know if the later 5x4 1/2 axles in a 7 1/4 rear will fit a 66 7 1/4 rear w/ 5x4 bolt pattern?

You can swap in the complete rear, bolt for bolt, but the later 5 x 4 1/2 axles will not fit into the early housing. Bearings are different, for one thing.
