Does anyone have the deck height measurement of a 225 block and the compression height of a stock piston? Thanks

I know that the deck height is in one of Doug's articles on the 'Articles' page.

I measured mine once and got .187 +- .003 if I recall correctly. I understand that they can vary quite a lot due to sloppy manufacturing tolerances.

Unless I missed it I did look in the articles first. Dak, the measurement I'm looking for is from the crank centerline to the deck.

I have two uncut blocks that both measured 10.75 inches from crank centerline to top of deck. Piston compression height is listed as 1.74 inches in my FSM. Hope this helps.

The official (at least early/mid 60s) deck height was 0.141" and 10.68" from crank to deck. I have never seen a motor like this. Almost all of mine (1963 - 1975 motors) have been around 0.180" stock deck ht. This gives an actual comp ratio (w/55-60 cc head) of around 7.5 - 8:1 stock.
