After all this time, I finally got a couple decent pictures
of the interior of Aaron's Dart Sport we rebuilt. All of
the upholstery was done by a local shop, and I provided
the artwork of the "DART SPORT" emblems for the
computerized stitching in the headrests. You may not
be able to make it out, but I made custom true carbon
fiber panels to cover the woodgrain on all the dash
components.

Blackdog,
This is one of my favorite photos. It was taken last October at Houston Raceway Park in Baytown, Texas, at the Lonestar Shootout. I couldn't pass up this opportunity to get a side-by-side with a Viper painted in the same color Aaron chose for his Dart. It is "VIPER RACE YELLOW" and is much more vibrant than it appears here. The color was used on 2000-2001?? Dodge Vipers.

Here are the latest pics we have, after installing a rear spoiler and hood scoop. These don't really do the paint job justice.

Thank you, thank you very much...
Aaron has put approximately 10,000 miles on his car in the past 14 months, since we got it on the road. He drives it every day, and even to high school  Now, he's taking his first college classes this summer, and it worries me a bit for him to park it in the parking lot with a bunch of strangers. At least at his high school, the kids appreciated the effort he put into the project for three years.

We have a few final things we would like to do before considering it "done." We have been searching for three years to find a pair of sport mirrors that he can afford (yeah, right). The bumpers are in very nice condition, but really need to be re-chromed. The leftmost taillight bezel is very pitted and needs to be replaced with a better one.

I just bought a new distributor on eBay and am waiting for it to get here. The car runs good, but it needs a little tweaking and fine tuning. Aaron wants to add a 4bbl and dual exhaust (Dutra or headers). And I still want to find a spare tire that actually fits down in the tire well but will allow the spare tire cover and mat to lie flat, without the inevitable hump.

Jerry
