Finding a kickdown linkage to do a super six has been a challenge, so my question is it possible to do with a lokar type cable kickdown? Has anyone done such a thing and how difficult is it?

I have done it. The hardest part was fabbing up some linkage at the carb. Took me 30 minutes and $4 worth of aluminum pieces from Home Depot.

hey Slantzilla thanks for the reply, any pic's of it? Do you remember which cable, vender, etc. tring to get my 63 to 2bbl status, and having a rough go , any info appreciated , thanks licparts.

I put on a Lokar linkage, and didn't even bother hooking it up to the carb. I connected it to the gas pedal instead.

No pics, but it was not too hard to make work. I simply added a flat onto the carb linkage to extend it, and hooked the cable to it.

Going to the gas pedal would probably be easier still.
