I just received my 144/170 valves from Enginbuildr and they look real nice and came with new locks for less than I would pay for stock valves through a local merchant.
Is anyone else running thes valves?

I got a set of them too. I got them at a fair price and in a timely manner. I haven't heard of anyone that had a negative experience. The first set that he sold set off a bidding war on Ebay and went for a ridiculous amount. After that he put a "Buy it now" button on all his auctions and they sold at $89.00 a set plus shipping. Hard to beat that.

I got a set and have been running them. I had great service from the folks, very pleased. I bought the ones advertised as the fancier of his products. They were very nicely made and my machine shop thought they were very good valves. They cost less than the ones I got from Clifford a few years ago (which also work well, btw). I called the seller and got an extra Intake and Ex. to use a dummies in porting an already machined head so I wouldn't damage the new seats.

I'm kinda surprised you don't remember the ugly thread when he came on the board here talking about how fabulous and wonderful and superior he was. I don't use my money to support attitudes like his.

I have one of the older NOS sets from him and one of the new fully machined sets he had made which are going into my new head. The material specs and the finish of the new valves are as good as one could hope for. I got a set of seat inserts from him too for a few extra dollars.

The price and service he provides are great. He actually answers his emails quickly and is nice about getting any small extras for a very fair price. He knows what he is doing, and that is missing with many other people in the performance industry. I would deal with him anytime.

Yes, I do remember you coping an attitude, with him, that was totally uncalled for.

Mmkay, if that's how you choose to remember it, that's your choice. You buy valves from him if you like, I won't buy valves from him if that's my preference, and the sun'll still rise in the East tomorrow.

Dan I went back and read that whole thread and I agree with Charlie. You did jump ugly with him for no good reason (of course that's my opinion) The truth is I didn't like what you did at the time and still don't. All you had to do here is not do or say anything. No one was asking you to buy his product. Your personal comments about the seller of the valves were your opinion and not needed. They have nothing to do with the question that was asked. That original thread was ugly and you were mostly to blame. I'm sure you will "choose to remember it" (Your words to Charlie) a little differently. I bought his valves and got a good deal as did many others. I would deal with him again in a heartbeat.

Rick

Ok, lets stop this, before it goes any further. I posed the Question marks, to get a clarification, in case I missed something, like " those parts come from China" (to my knowledge, they don't). I should have shut up at that point.
