Hey I am looking at a Carter BBD on ebay in need of a rebuild and I was wondering if anyone could tell me the year. Here are the numbers that are listed 0-2681 on main body and 6-2318 on top half. Thanks.

No tag on the screw? You are screwed. Doe it have a flat tin cover over the bowl?

I have bunches of BBD's. None have tags.

Tin top ones are the newer ones.

Here is a place to check carbs. www.moparfins.com It has lots od BBDs listed.

As rug_trucker says, the casting numbers you give are indeed not useful for identifying the carb. What is the eBay item number?

Thanks Guys, I apperciate the help, but I am just about feed up with my Slant and I do not think I will be putting any more money in it. I have been having over heating problems and they countinued yesterday on the way to a show. I have changed replaced the radiator with a new one put in a new 185 thermostat and a 195 replaced all the hoses and it still runs HOT!! It may have a blown head gasket or a warpped head. I hate to say it, but after this season I am looking at installing a 318 with a rebuilt A904.
