There are a few people on this forum, that have gotten scrapers from Kevin. A few of us lent him engines to use for a pattern. He does come to this site. Nice people.

I have a single-sided scraper in my 64 motor from Kevin. Just ordered a 2-sided for the new Project V motor.

The gaps you fill with silicone sealer, the end seals will still seal fine. I siliconed mine to the block and then used a pan gasket only on the pan side. I bolted the scraper/silicone down overnight, and then install the pan as usual. :D

sick6-Mike's tray is a copy of the old Direct Connection tray. Both Mike's scraper and tray, and Kevin's scraper will require some clearancing to install. It is not hard, just a little time consuming. :D

Yep, they fit some pans better than others. I didn't have to grind much to get it into a '76 A-body pan, but had to do quite a bit to get it into a '66 pan.

would their be any benefit to using a tray along with a scraper or would that just be overkill

Unless you plan on turning a lot of RPM regularly, there isn't a whole lot of benefit to either.
