I got mine about 5 years ago and it was $75, then. I had problems with my turbo system, so removed the turbo and installed nitrous (in the pits at Bristol). Ran the engine on the street and track with nitrous for a few years, with no problems. Eventually hurt a couple of pistons (Waiting for new .040 overs, as I post), head gasket is still fine, and will be reused. After I get the motor fixed, it will be going back into my 65 Valiant.

PS: Terry, do you have any pics, of your car/motor?

Did you fab the intake manifold? I would like to supercharge or turbo one of my cars.
Thanks
Frank

frank thanks, the intake is home fab, you can see all the pitures at the links that sandy has put a few post back, some have said that i should have made the plenum bigger and shorten the runners to #1&#6, there are pitures of both manifolds one for the 4-53 blower and the 4-71 blower.

Sounds like it is working pretty good, I dont believe I would worry about the runner lenth & plenum size with it work this good.

It almost sounds like you may have had more Ring problems than anything. Oil getting in the cylinder will cause detination despite the best tuning. And it sounds like you atleast got enough of a handle on it to go forward with it, and with only one race under your belt with the setup you ran a very good time, plus brought it home in one piece. I would guess a little more time with the car & you will be running low 11's before you know it, and dare I say maybe even a 10.999999999999999999 if all the planets get inline & a few lucky stars fly over.
