Hyperpak intake could be made to work fairly decently on the street if heat was added to it. He created a box on the bottom of the intake right under where the carb mounted and plumbed engine coolant through it--the added heat made fuel precipitation much less of a problem, which increased drivability
If you go back through my old posts, you'll see I covered this a while back while wrestling with the clifford on the street. I came to the conclusion that a box using straight exhaust gases passed between my dual exhaust would warm up better (quicker...and the europeans have used this in their cold/wet climate), this helps loads in the Pac NW where temps are 'good' for this setup for 2 months out of the year, and need carb/ intake heat the rest of the time....I had figured by the time you had to enrich the air/fuel mix to keep it 'lit' until your engine actually would flow hot water under the intake and get all that intake mass warmed up, you'd wash down the cylinder walls with the excess fuel (in a trial run for a few days, my A/F meters went 'rich' and stayed there a little too long for my standards...)

Good luck, your past knowledge will serve you well,
