ive just fitted a mildly modded 225 (60" over good carb,comp,cam 25/65 409"lift ) with a eletric dizzy and a m.s.d 6al ...

is there any tricks to stop pinging at 55-60 mph on light throttle ,, my O2 meter says it about 13-1 mixture and my static timming is set @ 5`btdc .. the dizzy is out of a 1974 duster man 4speed .. and its now in a ozzie vf valiant

i would love to post a pic but i don`t know how as yet

Try disconnecting and plugging your vacuum advance. Your vacuum advance comes in at light throttle.

if you create a free Photobucket account ( 2 minutes work) upload your pics and they create all the codes to post your pics, without bieng a computer wiz. and its free, no strings attached! P.S. i have no affiliation with photobucket, but its qiuck and easy! P.P.S I also want to see the pics

It sounds like the distributor needs "recurving".
Do a search on this site for more info, there have been a number of good messages on that subject.

i am running a street style stall set at 1900-2000 rpm .. i am now looking at a good cam mine is a 25/65 with 409" lift a good daily driver cam but not good for perforamance

the smoke was from the cheap tyres i got the smoked VERY well i sat in the bleach block for a bit to get them nice and hot being there a little bit of a hard compound so it made LOTS of smoke and i got some real good cheers form the crowd ..

your smoking light truck tyres
