:D Hello

I recently purchased a 1965 A100. Slant 6-904-3.91s
I got it from the son-in-law of the orig owner. It was parked for the last 12 years~I have very little info on it. I'm in the process of restoring it. The engine appears to have been rebuilt because of the different color showing on the block(dark blue). Also, I'm not sure if it's the 170, 198 or 225? Does anyone have the breakdown(#s book) for this?

This is what I got off the engine: 030-8 1266

This is what shows on the drivers' side door tags:
A100 90
3600 3.91 CHRY RF36
2500 3 AUTO CHRY A727
127 3900 1100 1410
5200 10107211

Vehicle Serial Number: 196 2036939

I appreciate anyone who can help me with this!
Thanks! Phil

I don't have a decode book but you can try,autohobbydigest.com,also sweptline.org(also sweptline.com they're in cahoots). You'll want a service manual,Dan's got some good links.I got a manual for my A108 from,autobooksbishko.com.I think you'll need the #'s stamped on block just below nbr 1 sparkplug. My manual is for 68-70 and it only shows either a 170 or 225 upgrade so don't know if 198 was available in your rig for 65.I'm sure somebody will help you here soon enuf but dig around on the afore mentioned sites lots of A100 stuff there.Thee place for slant6 info is right here no matter what it's in.Good luck 8)

198's came out later, but it's possible one was swapped in later.

How about some photos, Buzzin? We LOVE photos!
