Milling the cylinder head and /or block sounds like an inexpensive way to bump up the horse power. What kind of return horse power/torque for the money when you put in bigger valves and some mild port work? The build I am planning (some time in the next hundred years) is a slant equipped Ford roadster so it's mainly a street driven car. Thanks for your help with this 'slant - goober.'

Do both compression is really in the cellar, and the head was designed for a 170 cu inch motor and never changed. so bigger valves and port work really help.
