IS THE HEAD ON A SLANT 6 225 AND 198 THE SAME.WANT TO HAVE A HEAD PORTED AND POLISHED AND STILL NOT SURE ABOUT THE MOTOR BEING A 225 OR 198.ANY THOUGHTS

Both heads will bolt up to either engine. There were some design changes in the combustion chamber in about '68, which improved the head, so a post'68 head would be best to modify. This is all presuming you have a solid-lifter engine, not hydraulic-lifter engine.
