I got my kit from Eastwood to reseal the gas tank last night. The instructions say to use compressed air at 1-5 psi to keep the sealer from pooling as it dries. I am supposed to seal the sending unit opening, insert the compressed air from the filler opening and keep it from getting too close to any one surface so it doesn't create a thin spot.

I have an air compresser I use for trim work around the house and a nozzle to blow air. Will this work? Has anyone ever done this?

I used a POR kit last year on a tank and they just had me twirl it around for about 20 minutes, pour out the excess, and twirl again.
If you have too much sealer in the tank, I don't see how just blowing it around will help. It is just a coating, once everything is covered I would get the rest out.

Not to argue with Chris, but I would do it according to the directions. I think your trim compressor will work fine.

aircraft spruce and specialty sells a kit for sloshing, normaly for riveted wing tanks pricey but good and reliable for 2-3 car tanks
