another carb question

Post subject: another carb question

Below is a description of a carburetor... I was wondering if this carb will bolt up to a slant intake? This is the description from the owner.

This is a one (1) barrel carburetor. It is a Carter Brand; I.D. Tag still attached with the following numbers: 7040S M 4 09 A. Number on side: 6W8. Other number on Carburetor is 2316 on side.

I do not recognize that number, do you have a PIC you can post? Most SL6 Carter 1bbls have "BBS" on the side.
