Update... cooling problem

First let me say thank you for all the excellent suggestions.

I decided to implement almost all of them on my 74 Duster 225/6 - with A/C

1) cored and flushed 22" HD radiator
2) New hi flow thermostat ( 180 )
3) New water pump
4) New hoses
5) 7-blade fixed fan - ( need to get )

I am just now starting to put it back together and will let you know how it does.

I noted something curious however that I wanted to pass along to the forum.
If it is obvious or common knowledge, please excuse my ignorance.

When I got the NEW pump ( GMB ) and compared it to the OLD pump. I noted that the older pump had a 6 finned cast iron impeller. The NEW pump had a 8 - blade sheet metal impeller. Obviously the NEW pump will push more water than the original one from the car.
