I bought an Innovate wide-band O2 system a month ago and keep finding new ways for it to help me. This tool is awsome.

I am still a beginner with this tool but I just found a cool feature with it. I've been blasting around and doing some holeshots around on some dead end roads (commercal property after hours) and logging. I have also been using my FX-2 Accelerometer and timing some 60' times.
This system (Innovate) when used with the RPM kit allows one to have 5 inputs (5volt max) I am tracking AFR(O2), RPM, MAP (vacuum), TPS (throttle position). One of the cool things I found was the use of the Measurment Tool. This tool allows you to select moments it time and measure between these moments. I can measure how fast my car is in comparison to other times by measuring constant points. For example. Set one moment in time at RPM and the instant the TPS moves up. (off closed to WOT) and set the other time at 5000 rpm. The time between these two points is how fast your engine is capable of getting from idle to 5000 rpm. If you make some changes to carburation you can see if your faster or slower in getting to 5000 rpm. Less time = an improvment.
I have found that with the 570 Street Advenger carb it was taking 2.95 seconds to get there. The Holley 390DP is taking 2.62 seconds and is at the very beginning of the tuning process. :D Also the FX-2 Accelerometer is showing 1.9 60' times. The best on file in memory with the FX-2 was 2.29.
Looking at some of the RPM graph logs, it is showing no platoe at 6000 RPM (unless I hit the 6000 rev chip). It is a simple 45* angle straight up. I think the motor is build strong but I really don't want to push it. I think I keep it chiped at 6000rpm. The headers and exhaust where definently needed. Before (at the dyno) it used to platoe around 5200rpm.
I have a bunch of printed graphs and notes I am planning to take to a local performance carb tunning place (BLP). I have been in there a couple of times buying a couple things and they seem very willing to give a few bit of advice. I am going to have them measure some of the carbs orfices with pin gauges to see where it currently at.
I'll keep you updated and will post this carbs setup when I get it worked out or maybe before it worked out too.

Hey, sounds like fun tuning and great progress. I would limit to 6k on that long stroke motor. Bet you can't wait to get back to the track.

Seems like those "gimmick" carbs are not that great. CFM is definitely not everything. 390 should really not be too small for that motor until you get over 300 HP.
