Today when I was loading my Dart on the trailer, the trailer was sitting too high, so the front valance hit the ramp on one side. One of the "rungs" of the ramp hit my parking/turn signal light bezel, which put two creases in the chrome, and it pushed the bezel into the valance, which crunched it a little bit, and it tweaked the whole thing, causing another crease towards the middle of the valance. And, the side of the ramp scraped the bottom of the valance, denting it, and scraping the paint off of it.

I took some pics.

I found a new way to load and unload the car now. Ramps for the tow vehicle.

I'd just raise the front of the trailer when it was attached by using the front trailer stand/jack..................

Usually it went up on the trailer fine, but had problems coming off, and I would use the jack on the trailer to bring it up high. The ramps are easier, and make the front of the trailer nice and high. The trailer tires must have been on a small hill or something, causing the hit. On even ground it wont hit going on.

Thanks, but mine are still good enough for me.

Turns out there was more damage than I originally thought. Not only was there the damage mentioned above, the valance hit the fender, and tweaked it a little bit, and the divider panel in the front of the fender got pushed into the inside of the fender, hitting a patch of bondo that was filling a hole, and broke it out.

I have some work to do now.

It's all part of the game. Enjoy the adventure. Battle scars can be cool
