No offense, but you guys who live in cities filled with old Mopars SUCK.

For the past 20 years down here in Dallas, a-bodies and other pre '76 Mopars aren't as rare as hen's teeth, but close, especially compared to other cities. GREAT if you want your car to stand out, BAD if you want to BUY one. And ebay auctions for cars and parts are either east coast, west coast or up north.

Pardon my frustration, but since the Swinger was wrecked, I have the monumental task of finding parts you guys can stumble over. So if you see a '72 Dart with a decent front clip and/or a non-vinyl top roof for cheap (so I can spend the money SHIPPING it to frickin' Dallas), lemme know.

Rant over. I apologize for any I've offended, irritated, ticked-off. I'm just jealous of you guys... Enjoy your barbeques...

I might have to break the BBQ out this weekend for the R&R-fest going on at my place.

Anybody else coming over to lend a hand? :D

CJ
Sorry, I'm on call this weekend otherwise I'd gas up the Valiant and motor on down.

We'll miss you Josh!

Couldn't find any '72's on a cursory Craigslist search. A bunch of 64-71 and some 73-76 Darts for cheap. Sorry vynn3. I was surprised to miss on '72's all together.

I'm going up to look at a '69 8 door short wheel base A-100 van.
That could be a cool rig to play with! :D

MiDi.. he was just ranting. He even apologised afterwards for any offense he may have given. It's ok..

I can understand where he's coming from. Try living in bum**** nowhere Missouri and finding anything to do with cars beyond hicks who have beautiful classics rotting away in their yards, who won't get rid of them, but won't do anything to them either.

It's good to live in Oregon now..

Vynn, I'll keep a look out for '72 stuff, been looking for '73+ Darts for brake conversion anyway so it's just one more thing to add. I think I have a friend of a friend who has a '72 Dart parts car.. I'll ask the mutual friend to make sure, and if so, I'll PM you if he's willing to send you what you need.

Thanks for your understanding and patience, Stephanie.

Yes, please, if you have any contacts or info for '72 Dart front end parts, pass them along. I'd be in your debt. :) And I'll keep an eye out for '73 parts for you. Anything besides disk brake stuff?

I just picked up a '70 Kelsey Hayes disk set-up for my '67 convertible. I have the same brakes on the Swinger, and they work great, plus I have no need to go to the big bolt pattern. I still see plenty of '73 - up conversions on Ebay. They aren't cheap, but I paid more for my KH.

I've been working out in Tanasborne and somebody working around there has a really sweet mid-sixtyish valiant convertible that is just kick ass... Been trying to run into the person, but haven't been able to yet.

Midi, I might've seen you driving around a while back... Our cars are so similar and I saw one driving around one day while I was in my van, well I got so freaked that somebody stole my baby I had to drive home and check on it.... It looked exactly like mine... Your's is the only other Dart I've seen that is that color of green...

cool SwingLo73! from what i understand that exact crappy green color was only made in 1973. so its pretty rare and easy to spot. do you have a 2 or 4 door? if you saw me driving i was prolly doing double the posted speed limit and with my custom exhaust you can hear me for blocks when i rev er' up.

if you wanna drop by for a pint & some slant talk shoot me a p/m or e-mail. i'm in beaumont village - 42nd and freemont

today i saw a killer duster in great shape in front of the beaumont market, and 2 mid sixtys 2 door darts in hollywood.

That's it!

MiDi! You need to etch roses on the side windows of your car!

Do it like the one I have on Linda's side of the Diesel 4X4!

From where do you hail Mohammed? Local Portlandia?
