Who actually races a Slant car, and what have you run?

My best has been 14:81@90 in my daily driver '66 Valiant.

I've raced two slanters. Both street cars with street tires. :)

'68 Dart - best times are 15.7s at 2500 ft altitude and 4.57 gears, 15.9s at sea level and 2.94 gears.

'64 Dart - best times 14.3s @94/95 MPH with 3.91s and 14.7s @ 91 MPH w/ 3.23s. Untested in current state - lots of mods. 8)

Also done some road course events with the '64, and this is my current main focus for this car.

Lou

My best is a 9.95 in the eight, before I had a chance to run the nitrous. However I am planning to run 8.2's to 8.4's. I will keep you guys posted. By chance does anybody know what that equals in the quarter? Jason.

That truck was a 52 chevy. At that time it had a 235 cid 6 cyl, rated at 95 hp. and a 4 spd trans. We wound up converting to a 302 cid gmc in line 6, and 5 spd crash box. The truck served well for a number of years. One trip it made was from New Jersey to Columbus, Ohio, and that was with the 235 engine. The 4 dr Valiant was powered by a 273 engine, with a 904 trans. It ran 12.80's.
