Looks great!
You may want to re-think that big steel fan, those "eat" a bit of power and make a bunch of noise. My car actual cooled better at freeway speeds with a smaller fan.

I split the overlap and retarded it three degrees from there to hopefully gain a litle higher end performance. I'm not sure being that it is a small overlap if it will make a bunch of diffrence. I'm just playing with what I have to make the best of it with out laying out the cash for a hi-porformance cam. I also may put automatic in it later if my wife gets tired of driving a stick.

Yah, I could put a V8 in there, but then it wouldn't be a Slant 6 now would it!

Nice work, I started my swap in my '64 today. It's inspiring to see it all come together.

It feels good to have it all together. But I can't put it in the car for awhile and hear it run. I am debating mounting it to the k member and making and wood frame to start it on the ground so I can break it in and set he valves when hot. But more importantly hear it run.

I've been thinking about building a box tube jig that I can use to run and break-in motors for a while now. But the price of steel is so insane that it's probably just worth it to drop it in the hole and fire it up...as much as we hate doing things twice that is. It would definitely put a smile on your face, no question.

Just jumping in. Nice job, I'm thinking of painting my engine body color, and i think the valve cover idea will catch on.
