 Post subject: How Quick to do 100

I know there is no definate answer here,curious how quick you have to go in the 1/4 to break a 100,my goal,mark

You're right about that. There's too many variables. Two cars can run the same mph but one can be over 1 second (or more) quicker than the other.

Personally, I'd rather aim for an ET instead of mph, but that's just me.

One online ET calculator said that you need to do the 1/4 in 13.63sec to get to 100mph. But that doesn't take into account car weight, HP, gear ratios etc etc etc.....

In the 13s or 14s. Mid-high 13s if the car is set up for drag racing properly.

If the car will not 60' well you can be over 100 in the low 14's.

If the car is working well you should be able to get mid 13's at 100.

On motor my junk has run 94 at 14-teens. It went 96 once, but there was a good tailwind.

On a 150 shot of hose it runs 90 at the 1/8th mile. :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

My "best" was 14,71/99,8mph :lol: It was with 1,6td Vw though :roll:
