My local parts store is changing from GP sorenson to BWD brand parts. They had a new ilustrated parts catalog on the counter. Just browsing and noticed the DG-122 is listed as "metal replacement for the OEM plastic gear". Ordered one for $3.96, will be in tomorrow, afternoon. We will see if it is plastic, or metal.

I'll certainly be interested to learn what comes in. Given that the Australian outfit are still asking forty bucks (cough!) for a bronze drive pinion...!

Just for information. When my sons dart cleaned off all the teeth on the oil pump gear as well as severely damaging the camshaft, it did not destroy the plastic gear on the distributor. Sounds weird , but it is true. Your luck may be different.

Well, that was a bust. BWD gear is plastic.
