Rug Trucker,
Where does he get the hydrogen? I assume this is like injecting propane into a diesel motor - but propane is available everywhere. Does he have to refine his own hydrogen out of water and massive amounts of voltage? Details, man, details!

I scanned it. Seems too-good-to-be-true, but then again lots of things seem too good to be true but work. Asian massage parlors leap to mind...

I assume your buddy is going to keep track of any improvements with this thing. And I'm sure you'll post them.

I did quite a bit of research on propane injection a while back for diesels. My conclusion was that it works pretty good for increasing power, but did not increase mileage/efficiency because you still have to buy the propane.

Let us know what happens,

I'm not saying it can't/won't work, but the info on the web site, is all smoke and mirrors (read BS). 80amps current draw, power has to come from somewhere. They say Alternator is putting out this power, whether you use it or not. I don't think so. There is not enough energy in the amount of water, they say to use, to make any noticible difference on a automobile engine. Sound like a high priced fuel line magnet. Also there is no actual address, or phone number on the website, just a PO box, and e-maill addy.
Warning! Warning! Will Robinson.

I know for several years they have had buses in Canada running on hydrogen. Maybe in British Columbia? I read the articles a couple of years ago when gasoline spked to $3

I don't know if the website I linked to is where my friend bought his set up.

If your alternator is working hard it will use more fuel to turn it.

Hydrogen is "made" by passing a large voltage thru water, thus breaking the oxegen and hydrogen apart, which sift out as a gas. In simplified terms, a fuel cell makes electricity by combining the oxegen and hydrogen gas back together, thus you get your electricity back out along with water.

It's not that it wouldn't work, but at only 80ampsx12v =960 watts how much oxygen can you possibly electrolize? But maybe it works, what do I know.

That is the bad part about high fuel prices, it brings out every snake oil salesman in the world.

High fuel prices are a blessing in disguise. We need gas to hit $5 a gallon this memorial day weekend. That will almost instantly cause near instantaneous double digit inflation. I've already raised my prices. After 6 months of inflation, all my credit card debt and mortgage debt will be worth pennies on the dollar! It's brilliant.

Plus the dollar will weaken even further, and then all the rest of the world will start buying our fabulous American goods again, thus putting people back to work. Frenchmen will buy Buicks. The Chinese will be able to afford our guitar amps.

And the people that will suffer most are the prick money market speculators who got us in this greedy mess in the first place.

This is just me being an optomist.

I agree, your glass is half full (of ethanol). Haven't you heard that 'waste products' roll downhill?
