We took the Simca to the Nostalgia gasser meet at Darlington last weekend. Here is a link to the photos if anyone wants to see them.

http://www.competitionplus.com/12_04_20 ... under1.htm

It was .400 pro tree heads up racing! Felt kind of good to out run V8's with a /6! After about two runs people started wandering up to the pits wanting to know "what kind of car is that"...."a what???"..."whats it running"....."A WHAT!"

HE HE

The car ran great! Best of 6.87@98.( 11# of boost) I think we have finally overcome the new car problems. The motor and turbo have performed flawlessly. We are going to take the motor out this weekend or next and start getting ready for the next one.

The race was kind of weird. There were about 18 car and they divided us into A and B gas. I was in B and the #1 qualifier ran a 6.44. They then gave you a .1 cushion in eliminations so he could run a 6.34 and not break out. I really did not stand a chance. I was cutting .480's lights and most guys were in the high .580's. Help a little but not .40's. It was fun though just not sure I would want to race that all of the time. The winner of my class was the little green anglia in the photos.

Here is another link to Darlington's website with pictures. Some look like the same pictures with a few different ones thrown in.

Here is the link to Bill Pratts (Draglist.com) write-up of the race in Darlington. They are suppose to add pictures to it sometime today. You have to read pretty far down to get to the B/Gas results. I emailed him and told him the car was a slant 6.
