I have a Holley 1920 that I picked up cheap. As per an article showing where the ID number is, is the word LIST 305, under that are these numbers 2468781 after this in very small font is 49. All that being said, what rebuild kit do I purchase. I plan to put this on my 1963 Dart with the 225 with a 76' manual 4 speed OD and a 3.23 rear ratio. Will I get good economy or better economy than the Carter one barrel. I'll be changing ignition to electronic soon which will contribute to better performance.
Regarding this Holley 1920 the bottom wing is frozen, what product can I use to loosen the whole lever?

PB Blaster loosens almost everything!

After you get it loose, check for slop in the throttle shaft... a common cause of vacuum leaks in these carbs.

Yes, your 1920 can give good to excellent mileage and it is very easy to tune. I am running the Economaster version at the moment and modifying it to work with my build.

You're missing one of the digits after the word "LIST".
Yes, no, maybe. It depends on which exact Holley 1920 you've got, in what kind of condition, and which exact Carter you've got, in what kind of condition. The numbers you give say this is an early 1920, without the metering precision enhancements found in later units, so the mileage potential is less.
i.e., the throttle plate. This does not bode well for the condition of the rest of the carburetor.

3058 found the last digit after more scrubbing. Will this help to identify which kit I shou[/color]ld purchase?

3058 was originally installed on '65 Darts and Valiants with 225 engines and automatic transmissions. The parts you want are a Walker kit #15480A and a Walker float #100-14. It's still kinda dubious if you can make this carb into a good runner given that it's frozen up (and probably has severe corrosion in the main metering block), but there's nothing wrong with trying!

You will probably also want to put on an electric choke — they are more easily and widely adjustable to dial in just enough choke action for reliable cold starting and running without wasting gas by overchoking.

Thanks so much for the investigative work, like you said Dan it doesn't hurt to try besides this rebuild is mostly about practice for myself and if it works great, if not, I've learned more than I knew yesterday.
