Found it in the Parts Wanted section. Thought I read it this morning in the racing section!!!

Anybody want to elaborate???

This sounds interesting, any "user tips" on playing with this stuff?
If I'm going up against that Buzzun car in Vegas, I'm going to need some help

Doug, you'll need more than Nitro to run down Mike.

Especially if Blaine stays home, he's really fast then!

The main thing is start small and never lean it out. We tested with 10% and 15% first and saw small improvements of about a tenth to 2 tenths. At that percentages pill changes were enough, but at 30% had to change the nozzles to get enough fuel in the motor. Our fuel usage almost doubled, I don't know if I would try it with a carb.( not enough fuel volume) I don't know how much nitro you would have to run for a big gain in E.T. Our car went from 10.80s on straight alcohol to a best run of 10.501@123.9 on 30% which is a gain of 40 to 50 HP. As far as a limit on how much, I think in our car that is it. When I took the motor apart the crank showed cracking and was warped about .010 from end to end. I don't know if that was from the nitro or the shock of the clutch. And as far as being legal I would be careful at a NHRA track, they might not think it was so cool(would hate to get thrown out)

So what kind of percentage does it take to go from 10.80's to 10.19?

I saw the topic of nitro and thought I would take a look. I was appalled to see it was the Lancer. Being the driver I should have asked more questions of Brent, but he has done a fantastic job with the car. I never question what he does.
Sometimes when I would come back down the return road I would cry from the exhaust fumes. I asked Brent about the bad smell and he just smiled and said "drive the car."
I will see Brent tonight and I'll get the facts, it's time he comes clean. I will also call Seymour and have him remove us from the alky only record and move it to the unlimited fuel. Sorry guys, I'll try to not let this happen again.

-Mark

Sooo....
Tom's question still stands, but in truth, what everyone wants to know what it will take to get to 9.99

Mark, I think you guys still deserve the record anyway, I don't think anyone else was bumped out by you. Still very impressive!:)

In all honesty, I think we'll find out what it takes to run 9:99 this summer. I'm sure Mike and Blaine have something up their sleeves, and Charles is quite capable too. Can't forget about that low-down red car from Ohio either.

For those playing our home version, nitro is illegal in anything but AA/TF, AA/FC, and A/FD in the eyes of the NHRA and IHRA. :D :D Guess we're gonna have to have fuel check now, huh?
