I have a two barrel intake and I would like to convert to a 4 barrel carb I have read the adapters are readily avalable from Transdapt or Mr Gasket for about 25$ does anyone have a part # or a source for ordering them? Thanks Jim.

Are you looking to enlarge the hole in your intake manifold and then attach a 4bbl carb mounting plate? Or are you looking to bolt a 4bbl-to-2bbl adaptor plate onto your unmodified 2bbl intake?

The first idea will work. The second won't.

at this point I am looking to enlarge the hole on the two barrel intake and then bolt an adapter plate onto the modified intake. I am unsure of how large to make the opening or where to obtain the adapter plate. I figure this method will save me the cost of a hyper pac intake and still be able to get similar results what are your thoughts?

Uh...no... you won't get hyperpak results.... your results will be similar to having an offy shorty intake... the problem is the plenum area... the super six plenum is really quite small... if you add a 'stack' you have some gain, but you'll still have a bottle neck at the intake manifold...
think of it as drinking from a 2 liter bottle of pop... but you are limited to using 2 regular soda straws....

O'Reilly Auto Parts has the 2 to 4 adapter, its a Mr. Gasket part. I don't know the part number offhand, but any O'Reilly Auto Parts store should have them in their "Mr. Gasket" section. I have a part time job at O'Reilly's, I can post the part number tomorrow.
I have an Offenhauser 4bbl intake with a 2 to 4 adapter, and a Weber 2bbl on top.

Thank you! From what I am understanding there may not be that much difference from the super six as compared to a two barrel intake converted over to accept a four barrel carb. Other than personal preference or am I still missing something?
