Did the new springs need the spring seats machined for size? Did the retainers need the guides cut down? You should not have this much trouble installing springs whether they need shimming or not. :?

Imagethe new cam kit spring from erson is on the right it's a bit taller.does that make any difference?
Imagethe 3 on the left are new and the rest showing are stock is there any problem with putting the erson cam kit springs on right out of the box.Oh and i have a different compressor now , works a little bit better.
Pulling motor or bust today i'll update maybe tonight.

If you have that fuel filter in the left pic? It probably won't pass tech at the track. Those things will burn your car down,

Ok I rebuilt the tranny because 2nd gear was toasted on the maiden voyage somehow, had a tranny leak now fixed it's running good i gotta put some miles on it then i'm heading to the track ASAP. List to do re torque clyinder head, readjust valves, replace exhaust gasket two stock ones won't seal headers and intake so ordered a clifford gasket again. Then we'll make some runs and start test and tuning.
I'll get some pictures up soon enough i'm also gonna get some videos goin. My new project anyone wanan give me tips pointers pictures on head porting/polish i'm gonna to do the headwork myself because always gotta keep making the ol duster faster.
Help with head work please.
Thanks Kevin

I just had my manifolds off and replaced the gasket with the Aussie carbon fiber gasket. It seals very well!

So give one of those a try. They are reusable too! :D

why are you retorquing the head? That is for steel. If it is the Permatorque Blue? No need.

Look under Virtual Dragstrip and/or Member Slant Sixes. He's posted times and such there. Sounds like a good running combo.
