Those Mopar rags are still in print? How many trailer queens can one look at? Thats why I liked Car Craft when Dave Freiburger was editer...he took junk (no matter the brand) and made them fast...and fun! Maybe not safe....(Didn't he stuff a 500 inch Cadillac engine into a Chevette for Hot Rod?)

Even though there might be interest...sadly, it all boils down to the dollar. None of their sponsors (advertisers) make parts for the slant 6 and can't get rich from it. No stroker crank, No aluminum heads and only 225 inches...ect.


But!!!! We do have custom rods thanks to K1 and Mopardemon71. We do appreciate that and hope the other suppliers test the water like K1.

I think the biggest sting was that the guy wrote 'most of our readers seem to think of the slant six as a novelty.' What a joke. A novelty? When you step back and look at it, just about any 'unnecessary' car would be considered a novelty. I dunno, theres just something about dismissing the slant like that that seems so disrespectful. Like at least, build one and drive one before dismissing it. I hope some people write in about that comment.

Well as far as the rods go I hope that everyone that can gets a set because they trusted us to buy them and they put quite of bit of money into them. But come on guy's thats why I wrote this thread hit them with emails like crazy and so them there are enough slanters to write to. If you stop buying something because it doesnt have what you want change IT! Tell that company we are a customer they need to have.

Not enough interest? Everyone who I have talked to about cars, even the big v8 guys, all, all have refer to the slant six with kindness. The ol' family car that never died. or the first car. or the hell of a work truck. or that dodge i threw a rod in and still made it to the shop a mile and a half down the road. I think alot more people would be interested in seeing a slant build then the mag gives credit for.
