This has been kicked around before. It will work, but the one-barrel manifold will be a choking point. Some people say that this will work fine, others will tell you it won't and recommend you either find a two barrel intake or modify your one barrel intake to be a two barrel.

Personally, I say find a true two barrel or modify the one barrel.

either way, I find it hard to believe the bidding has gotten up to $56! That plus $9.55 shipping = $65.55 !!! and theres still 12 hrs of bidding to go. I wish I had a box of them. Though I'd still run a stock 2bbl or offy 2x1 on my own.

These adaptors are really a poor idea. See here, here, here, and here.

i ran an adapter on my 74 pickup.gas mileage stayed the same, around 15-16 mpg.but power went up and topspeed increased from around 70 to well i backed off the gas on the interstate at 90 mph because my engine temp was rising.it was worth the 20-25$ i paid.i would not pay that ebay price for it.i'd order straight from transdapt i think it was model 2025.it is listed as a large to small 2 barrel adapter.

I just picked up a pair to do that dual-carb conversion...found out I didn't need them, so onto ebay they went...and it looks like I'm going to more than double my money. I'd say it's a winner...for my wallet anyway.

2025 from Transadapt is it.
Scummitracing.com sells it for 12.88 plus "handling"

So, does that mean that on my 68 Dart, a 4-71 blower would mean I'd need to cut a hole in my hood?
