I was wondering what the best cam would be for a 225 stock bore, 1brl carb, pollished head, gasket matched, 904 street/strip shift kit, 3.55 rear gears, 2 1'4 exhaust.

I apologize for the off topic here but how come you chose to keep the 1-bbl. carb.?
I would think at this point you'd notice a pretty big gain by switching to a 2-bbl. set-up (or a small 4-bbl.).

the erson reverse pattern cam seem to be the stock replacement cam some like, i would go with at least a .450lift and 260degs dur with stock compression.

Will that cam help with more low end torque?

More torque and will really wake your 90 off shave.
You will like it.

The Erson RDP cam design is designed for a SL6 that has intake side "limitations". (like a 1 bbl carb and no head porting)
The RV15 (260 Intake) - 295 (244 Ex) is about as far as you should go if you stick with the 1bbl carb.
