A couple weeks ago while I was at my closest drag strip, my brother was at Rock Falls WI. He said there was a very fast slant car running.

Who is it and will you be there this Saturday (27th)? I'd like to meet you.

EDIT: Since this thread took a turn I re-named it so everyone would know what is going on.
Chris

It could have been Seymour Pederson?? He goes to Rock Falls, I think.

His lt blue '62 Valiant racecar runs in the mid 11s (1/4) and his daily driver white '62 runs in the high 13s/low 14s.

Name on here is Exner Geek.

Otherwise, I have no clue...

Lou

When Jerry (my brother) said there was a fast slant there I asked him if the guys's name was Seymore. He replied with "how the hell would I know" attitude. (Those V8 guys have a disorder ya know!)

I think I am gong to skip the race at my local to go see this guy. I hope it is Seymore, I would really like to say thanks for all he has done for Slant 6 racing.

Seymour would appreciate a visit. He lives in St. Louis Park. Or, meet him at the track with your Slant car and he'll REALLY love it!

That was probably me at Rock Falls on Sept. 6 test day. I was also at Grove Creek with my street car on August 29. There is a story about those outings in the Drag Racing section under topic "Fall is the best time to race" I am getting ready to go to Clay City on October 4th and I doubt I will be racing locally again this year. Let's make it a point to go to a race together next year.

Alrighty Seymore, let's make it a goal to race next year.
My '68 runs low 12's at Grove  But I am working on that!
My brother lives up in Blaine along with a fellow slanter, Sick6 (aka Mark).

Just remember, it's not the fastest that gets the trophy (girl)! I'm nuts on at the tree with my slow slant!

I really want to work on a true "All-America" race in NE or somewhere central so we can involve E, W, and Midwest racers all in one.

Kearney, NE sounds like a really good location to me...

BTW, my friend Neal and my brother Len will be "fostering" my '68 Dart for a while in Minneapolis. There will be another Slant car up there for drag racing with you guys. I'll drop it off Thanksgiving week.

Doug,

This looks like about the closest track to the mid point of America. Maybe a bit further for the West coasters, but only by 100-200 miles.

Would be pretty cool, eh?

Lou
