Just got the new issue of National Dragster and they have their annual prediction list for the classes. Thought it might be fun to see what the /6 crowd predicts for the new year.
Stuff like most wins, best ET for the year, biggest surprise, who will win the championship....etc?

Anyone have some ideas??

Tom

I think we will see more than one Slant car in the 9s this year - likely 2 and possibly as many as 5...

Low ET? I'll say 9.58.

I think the Hamby crew will be pretty hard to beat if they can keep up their rate of race attendance and winning.

Happy racing and see you all in Gatlinburg!

Lou

I think that Arrow from NC will be first in the 9's, IF he beats Mike and Blaine to the track.

Possum will win the championship IF Ron Hamby, Gordie Stevens, and Rodney Hargis don't race.

Me? Looks like I may make Clay City and maybe St. Louis this year. Maybe. Since I switched jobs at work I moved down to last on the vacation seniority list. :(

My predictions:

Seymour will win at least half of the long distance awards.

Leighton Drake will win at least one round and make it through one race without breaking something vital. Once again proving the durability of EFI and turbos.

Seriously

One car will win the /6 bracket and fast four at the same race!

I bet we we see at least 4 new SL6 cars that have not yet raced in the SSRN points series, show-up at the kick-off Las Vegas race.

I also think a will "fry" a few more engines before I get my new NOS fogger system worked-out.

Hey,

well i dont have very much predictions but i can say that i'm hopeing to be at clay city with the truck (in primer  ) and the new motor in, i'm hopeing to drive down there, race, and then drive home. I really wanna be in the 15's or even high 14's (will be running A-833-OD and 4.11 gears)

So i'm gonna be there with or without the truck and hope to meet some of you inperson :) and watch some good ol racing :D

There will be three cars in the 9,s this year. Two Arrows and a blue Buzzing car. Which will get there first i would look for Columbus as the ticket. My buddy is putting in the rollar cam Rons flying carb and nitros on the Ga arrow. This car went 11.20 on gas last year so who knows.I cannot belive Bagel put me up so high to win the championship. Ron Hamby has won it twice Rodney Hagris has won it Gordie won everything the year before last . There are is going to be a lot of changes this year in engine packages and who know what will happen. The one thing that is going to happen this year is our group is going to get more recinginion and this is going to be the most exiting year for /6 racing. So if you want to see the most exciting group of racers go for it be there. See you in Gattlenburg. Possum Parker
