G'day to all, it has been a bit but you know. Just a quick one,

Is the Dutra/Clifford Hyper pack manifold still available? If so where can I get one?? (just got a 68 VE Valiant 225 wagon)

I hope you are happy with the gasket's. What else do you need?

Cheers
Kev

Hi, Doug sold the mold boxes to Clifford, and they have not made a new run for quite a while.

I just sold one on this board a few weeks ago.

My Q&A has gone to Mr Clifford.

"they have not made a new run for quite a while" That's no good.

Cheers

the last batch they made was not good, castings had air bubbles, scabs and other nasty defects... I have one that I'll be using as a dry manifold/EFI... I have an early version (circa the 90's-ish), that was much more quality, had all the carb stud holes drilled and threaded- the late ones are only set up for a clifford adaptor plate)...

Just be wary of Clifford's business practices, and make sure they send you a good one if they have a few left ( a few members here ordered the last ones and got some 'not so nice' manifolds...)

Good Luck,

-D.Idiot

Just got an email back form Clifford,

" G-day to you, at this time we are not casting the hyper pak. The price to cast it is very high and the slant six customers do not want to pay $499.00 for an intake of any kind.

I will review it in March and see if we can cast it. I am hoping we can.

Larry 6=8 "

:? :?

And G'day to you Mr Fingers, How you been?

Uhhh, no. Slanters will not pay HIM $499 for an intake that may or may not be a piece of shyt when you open the box. IF quality and service were excellent (which neither has been lately) he would have no trouble selling them.

Zilla is right! I paid about $520 (shipping and all) to get a Hurricane 4bbl from Aussie Speed / PP&R. If it is a quality product people (even /6 people) will pay for it! After talking to Larry twice about a H-pak (and getting four different stories) I decided not to pursue it any further.
