I'am new to this board, and mopars for that matter. So please excuse my ignorance. My wife just bought a 66 dart. It has the slant six, and three on the tree. I have installed disc brakes off of a 75 duster. My question is whether its true that I can install a tremec 5-speed behind the slant six. Or any 5-speed for that matter??? Is there a kit?? Where can I find it??

There are no kits available, but 5 spds have been done (T5 behind Slant). I have one in my '64 Dart and it's great. Of course, if you want 400 HP, then you will need the tremec TKO or at least T3550.

Keisler engineering may do a custom kit for a Slant if you ask nicely and have some $$.

I suggest you search "T5" and/or "5 speed" on this site and on the slantsix.com site.
