I am in dire need of help. I have a 64 Barracuda with P/S, P/B and A/C.

I am looking for anyone that might have a picture of where the Jiffy Jet goes and how its mounted with electric pump.

Thanks

What is a Jiffy Jet? The elctric windshield fluid pump mounts on the driver's side fenderwell. That is the only thing I can think of that might be called a "Jiffy Jet."

Yup, '64 was the last year for the bag-style windshield washer fluid reservoir printed "JIFFY JET". In '65 they went to a hard plastic box-style reservoir. The pump mounts on the left inner fender, below the bag and forward of it.

My 63s and 64s Darts had foot operated pumps. Was the electric pump an option available for those years?

'64 was the first year for electric pumps on A-bodies. Foot-operated rubber-bulb type pumps remained available well into the '70s.

Thanks all for the Replies, does anyone actually have a picture of one and where it is mounted?

With the power brakes the vacuum can takes up alot of room. I also don't quite know if I have the right bracket for my bag.

I had the foot pump on my economy class '74 Dart and I loved it! Someone at Carlisle told me that a repro Jiffy Jet bag is in the works. I hope so, it's tough to find one in good shape. I'll take a photo of the washer bag hangar bracket from one of my '64s and post it.

Unfortunately my '64 came washer bag, foot pump and for that matter, reverse light delete. Our black one has all the goodies but it's not here at the moment for a photo. Ford also used the bag system into the late 60's. I wonder who came up with it first.

Bag-type reservoirs were quite common in the '50s and early '60s as original equipment, factory-installed options, dealer-installed and aftermarket accessories.
