So here's where i'm at so far. I connected the transmission side of the lokar cable, then zip tied the throttle in the fully opened position, pulled the lokar cable tight so tranny swivel part would be all the way back, then tightend the cable to the carb. That part is done, hopefully right.

I might cut heavier angle iron for the bracket, but i'll see.

I connected a throttle return spring, and installed the holley throttle stud. The parts store messed up the order the first time around, handing me a box with a screw in it??? I had to show him on the internet what i wanted, and it took a week to get it.

BUT, since the old throttle cable was way to long and couldn't be made to work right without kinking it severely, I ordered a spectre throttle cable part # 865 3431 from jegs, and once that's connected i'll add another picture.

Connected the new throttle cable. It's a cut to fit cable, and works well.

Between work, and a messed up back, i couldn't do anything for the past couple of weeks.

I have a question about the canister hoses.

If i run the car in this configuration, i don't have any problems.
If i close the loop, and connect 1 to 5, she stalls out.

If i connect the pcv valve directly to the carb, and leave 1 and 3 open i have no problems, which is how i have it now.

Edit:
Checked the FSM. #1 is supposed to go to the fuel bowl vent, but the holley 2300 fuel bowl vent is built into the top of the carb.

Is it ok to leave #1 and #3 unplugged on the canister, or does that mess up the vapor sitting in the canister?

Thanks
