While you're at it, may I suggest you look *very* closely at the cooling lines for leaks? I've twice found very small leaks that caused problems with shifting (maybe air got sucked in?), but didn't really leak significant amounts of fluid.

The trans was out of the car when I found it. It supposedly only has 77,000 mi on it, but that could be 177,000. Im only going to get it for a rebuild if the adjustments don't work out on my current one.
