Whats the difference between a super six exhaust manifold and my 1975 exhaust manifold? Is the super six bigger? I just thought I had better check before I bought and had to pay freight on one. Thanks in advance Mike

Nothing, exhaust manifolds are the same.

Cool I thought so but needed to make sure. I took it from reading a thread on here that it was just the choke pocket that was different but I wanted to be sure. Thanks Mike

Is this the thread you are talking about http://slantsix.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=31587

There are differences in the choke operation but they all physically interchange.

All '73-up exhaust manifolds have the same choke pocket. See this thread for detailed discussion, and this one for the good choke option. And remember, it is very much worth your while to get the good gaskets for the manifolds-to-head and intake-to-exhaust junctions.

The thread I read was the one that explained what the super six consisted of and what was needed and how to set it up. I'm sending an e-mail off for those gaskets next. Thanks for the heads up. Mike

Well I ordered those gaskets from down under. I got the hotbox and manifold gasket for 25.50 shipped. I thought that wasn't to bad. Now I will have everything waiting when I get home. Thanks for all the info Mike
