I'm pretty sure that's why Doug put them there.

Those look about the same as the ones on my standard water heated clifford manifold, but I have been told that those are too small for fuel injectors, they were made for nitrous nozzles.

I've never cared for nitrous. Maybe it's because of all the NOS setups on the ricers around here, but I've always seen it as an addon for someone lacking the brains and/or mechanical skill to do real performance tuning.

Walk up to Mike and Blaine, Will Burns, Charles Meyer, or the Cox Brothers and tell them that. Running nitrous is easy. Running nitrous without destroying anything takes a lot of tuning skill.

These bosses are a bit small for EFI injectors but they work fine for NOS or Alky injection.
Here are some shots of the H-Pak set-up with NOS fogger nozzels. FYI, some of the early repop H-Paks did not have these bosses, that includes all the "fat paks". The factory H-Pak never had the bosses either. All the Clifford units have the bosses, just as I left them.

Ahh but that's just the thing: "without destroying anything"

The ricers don't realize that and end up only getting about 50K out of their Honda 4bangers...

All but ONE ricer I've talked to even knew what a forged piston is, and he still insisted that he didn't need 'em with his NOS setup.

*shudder* oh well, it's his engine, not mine.

Just out of curiosity Doug, how many Hyper-Paks did you make total?

I made 41 total, 10 of those were "Fat Paks", 3 others were 2 bbl, 4 had a divided plenum area. Runner lengths were as short as 14 inches and as long as 21" (the factory unit was 17 inches)

I am currntly planning EFI for my slant. I was planning on using a Clifford manifold, but would consider the hyper pak that Cliffor now carries if there is a good reason to do so. Will it improve the perfomance of an EFI slant, and in what ways? Are there drawbacks. Are there drivability problems if I ever switch back to carb? It gets cold in the winter in Maryland. Thanks for your opinions.

Something you may want to consider waiting for is an "injector plate" to save you having to modify a manifold (and from having to get a fuel rail made). Here's a thread from a couple weeks ago about it: http://www.slantsix.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3987

I'm really looking forward to seeing the finished product.

I've been slow getting the injector plate off the ground. I wanted to have some miles on a setup before offering it to the public to make sure it will work well enough. I'm trying to get the cost down to a reasonable level. Still getting quotes from various shops for a run of 10 or so plates. I'll make more if there's enough interest. An injector plate kit will consist of a plate and fuel rail machined and ready to go. I wanted to have them ready for the S. Cal Spring Fling show, but thats not going to happen. I'll post a few pictures of the current setup soon.

I also have a couple new Lynx side draft intakes that will be getting injector bungs and fuel rail installed and sold, not sure of the price yet. I have all the parts, just need to machine and weld. One is a single Weber DCOE style, and the other is a dual SU style. If someone wants these in an unmodified form, send me a private message and we'll work out a price. Otherwise wait and I'll notify when they are converted to efi. They are new, never installed. I bought them from lynx in austrailia and have had them on the shelf waiting to be converted to efi ever since.

Can anyone elaborate on the advantage of the hyperpack for EFI. Is there a n advantge, or drawback between Hperpack EFI and the Clifford Manifold? What if I convert back to Carb, will there be a drivability problem in the winter with the hyper pack. Now that Clifford has these availble again, they seem like an attractive alternative.
