Reed and I are getting my "new" engine ('83 hydro motor from a van) ready to put into my Satellite. Reed cleaned it for me (GREAT guy!!) and found letters on the side of the block that say GGGDDD. :?: Anybody ever seen this before?

Factory bore markings. I've seen these on a few aluminum blocks I've owned, too. I don't know that we'll ever know what letter corresponds to what exact measurement, but that's what they are. Doc has commented on them; see here.

I think it means "GGGOD DDDAM Fram" :wink:
