I want to know who is running who's RR's and what they think about them.

Second what is their contact #.

I ask as I am getting ready to buy some and I'd like everyone's input that runs them. I would still like to run T&D's but they are a bit out of reach right now. thanks

I have run 1.55 and 1.6 roller tip rockers made by Rocker Arm Specialist.
At $400 - $500.00 per set and no real performance increase... there are better places to spend your money.

I have a set of RAS/Cox rockers. I did some back to back testing on the same day at the track with them and a set of RAS stock rebuilts. There was no difference with a Clifford .558"/300* cam.

I run RAS/Cox roller rockers arms. I agree with Doc and Bagel not much if any performance that I could Tell but they are a lot more stable and precise on my race engine. I checked them in the spring, race check them in July no adjustment and race on. Thanks Ron Parker :D

Where would you spend that money Doc? I have my rods, pistons, and cam. My head is coming along great sooooo... where? The last big piece for the long block is a rocker assy. I am hoping to have the long block done in about, or as they say up north "aboat", 2 months or so.

Spend more on the head. Or if you don't have good headers and a nice big single exh system, that would be a good place. Induction?

I agree with Lou on head work, that is where the HP is "hiding".
Do you have a high quality timing chain and gear set?
How about the oil pump, a high flow "blueprinted" pump with a case hardened drive gear is a wise investment.

Alright, since it has been asked. What do you do to the head?

My head was milled .080" to get the compression from 8:1 to 8.5:1, oversize valves with new exhaust guides and ported at home by me. With a 390 Holley 4 bbl and 2 1/4" exhaust I went from 19.40s to 17.00. Stock 1967 cam and short block. Fixing the largest restriction first will yield the largest gains. Induction, exhaust and cylinder head all need attention. My induction is a bit oversize for the rest of the package, but will support a more aggressive cam and more compression.

To directly answer your question. Oversize valves are very much worth the money. Speed isn't cheap. It's up to you to decide if it's worth the money.

On this subject can anyone give some specs or where to find them for let's say mopar rockers and sbc rocker? I was curious with our lathe if we could do an offset or oblong something. Of course even spending $200 on a v8 set is an impact on my budget. But I would very like some specs of just center to tip to either give me ideas or put this ghost to rest.

Well my head is not an issuse. It flows very, very nicely. Top secret untill after dyno time  . Not understating how important the oiling system is that is not what I deem part of the long block. Intakes, headers, ignition, and oiling is all secondary systems in my book as far as the "build" process goes. It seems I will go with Jim's set up due to the cost ease and he has them in stock. Doc I will be going after the correct oiling set up but this is a street motor that may see 6000 to 6500 rpm. Ill pm you with some Q&A.
