Does anyone have an older Mopar Performance or Direct Connection parts catalog that lists the Daytona RWD conversion kit?

I need to verify if that kit will fit the earlier Turismo/TC3 or not.

I can't seem to find my chassis manual or older parts catalogs. I hate moving so often...

Rob, I do not know if the kit will fit a Turismo or not, but IIRC, the kit was not really a "bolt-in" deal anyway. It was more of a cut and weld thing not much different than what you see in my car.

Here is a place that may be able to help you out though:

Thanks 'Zilla,

I re-read the Hot Rod article I have from 2003 and looked through the pictures. I am hoping that the modified DC K member bolts in the same as the original. I've asked the guy that has the one for sale on FABO. He sent me some good pictures of it and it looks like it bolts in.

I also dug out the glossy photos I have of the work done to the Turismo and, ...um,... I think this kit may be a better option.

I checked out that website and saw his prices. This used kit would give me the K member, R&P, struts, control arms and Wilwood 5X4.5 disc brakes for less than what he wants for just the K member

Do you ever get up to the Columbus area?...

Hey Frank,

It's Columbus, OH where the parts are. I'm trying to determine if the kit will even work or not. I've been looking through Allpar, TurboDodge, EEK, etc... Still not sure...

Thanks for the offer. I'll let you know what I find out.

How are the girls?

Rob, the 1996 catalog lists two different conversion kits.

P4529132 is for the Daytona through 1988, and P4529533 is for 1989-1992. A note says "Daytona kits also fit LeBaron Coupe, Shadow and Sundance".

No mention is made of L-bodies

Thanks 64 Convert and Doc,

I am afraid the L body K members are narrower than the others. The layout is pretty much identical, just the width is a bit wider. So, should I get it anyway and adapt it to fit, or just quit looking at all this stuff on the internet and get back to reality? For all the hassle it is to continue begging favors of people and having cars and parts strewn all over the country I need to just unsubscribe from all these Mopar forums and focus on not being so homesick...

I'm gonna check out for a few days...

Rob, you really should think about doing a front end like I'm doing. It really isn't that hard. :D

I know a shop that won't charge a whole lot if you're not in a big hurry.

That's kinda the set up I got now. The car has been sitting at Joel's place since June 2004

He's done the roll cage, rear end on leaf springs and swapped the K member bass ackwards. He has all of the parts for the ladder bars and wheel tubs to finish off the back half. He said he'll do that much, but he isn't in any hurry since I won't be back for awhile.

I'm just not confident about the front end work. Maybe when I get back and collect up all the cars and parts I've got strewn all over the country I'll tow some of my junk up your way and have you introduce me to Patrick :D

See Rob, the plan comes together already. :D

Once you see the pictures of what we're doing you'll be amazed at how simple it is.
