Kearney... Hmmm... I need to decide and discuss with the wife. That is our vacation weekend away from the kids to Brainard International Raceway.

If you guys can promise me a few days of fun and things that should never be discussed again I may be able to talk her into it.

Chris,

If half the people come who say they will, we will have a blast. The Slanted Family does not disappoint. You will see some wicked Slant 6 iron go head to head, and learn a ton about good people and good engine+car building tricks. Mike Jeffrey is in the top 3 Slant 6 engine builders in the country, and is hosting this race.

I will be bringing my '68 Dart (currently residing in Minneapolis) and Seymour will bring a car from Minn. We could maybe caravan out together. There should be several people coming from TX, IL, IA, SD, in addition to a few from the East and the West.

Cheers,

Lou

You dont necessarily have to bring a slant car.......

Ive been to both a western and eastern race without a slantcar.

Its worth meeting the people and seeing their junk. I like to think I can drink their beer as well.

You can just fly in and join the Enterprise Rentals Racing Team. Thats what the Big Name racers do....

I had real fun a couple of years ago in Las Vegas just helping out racers.

I now put "Recurving Distibutors In the Wild With Doug Dutra " on my resume.....I came home with enough confidence to do mine...

By actively helping you can steal everyones good ideas and avoid everyones bad ideas. .....like tipis in the pits nstuff....

:?: Chris, if you make it out to Kearney, I promise I can answer any of your questions just like zombies that you'll see at BIR........

 "Rick, is your butt on fire!!??"

 "Well Chris, the Texas Pooper Scooper team is working really hard, and we're coming together as a team (clumsely insert sponser stroke here), we've been doing some testing, (clumsely insert sponser stroke here), and I just wanna say high to Roscoe's second cousin, once removed, who shot himself in the leg trying to clean his pistol while drinking Poweraide..............."

Lou, Sounds great!

Well I would love to See Sams car In person,, Haven't seen him around here on the forum in a while.. But His car seems like a whole lot of modern retrofit trickery... Like somethin you would see in hotrod or Car craft.

this 10 second cunda sounds interesting too.

You can also be a part of dismantling a free Slant motor to get it into the side door of the wife's new Chrysler minivan.

Talked to Mike tonight and he is very excited about this race.

I promised Mike that I would be there either with the Daytona or the red car. I have not disassembled any part of it yet just in case.

There will also be a trip to the local Pizza Hut on Saturday night for those interested.

Wonder if they will have a great salad like the one in Winchester? :D :D :D

Wow. Aug 15,16. We have Woodburn the 8th and 9th, then Medford the 29th and 30th.

That's a heck of a load for August, but could be tweaked into a long bit of vacation.

Lemme think on it. :?
