That is the funniest thing I have read in years!!!! The problem with that plan is that we would have to grease the palms of dozens of lawmakers. We may as well just pay our own way.

Seymour, ya had to out do me didn't you  (thanks!! Can't wait to meet you!)

Lou, what you need to do is talk Mike into some head work for a grand prize!!!!

Actually, whoever posts the SLOWEST time is the one that needs the headwork! They're the ones most in need! Let's reward incompetence and inferiority!

Everyone I think that comes to a Slant Race is a winner. I have gone to a lot of Slant Races in the last 10 years and have made a lot of Slanted friends. This is what I like and race for. Kerrney maybe the only race I can go to this year but it would be worth it just to meet new Slant Racers. So we will build our racing budget around this race and see what happens. Thanks Ron Parker :D
PS I am First Place Possum :D

I agree with Possum. I went to about 6-7 Slant races without winning a single round. I didn't care because the people and the cars were just soooo cool. I won every time I hit the track, and I'll keep doing it.

Guys, I was being sarcastic. Of course you are all winners

Last week my 10 year old daughter did her first science fair project. The judges picked a winner to advance to a regional fair and was awarded a purple ribbon. It was a cool display and he deserved it. But every single kid that entered received a blue "First Place" ribbon!!!
Heaven forbid a kid who doesn't put forth any effort fails

Hear, hear. Kids are told by parents and others that effort counts and not achievement. This is part of the reason we're in this economic mess now. Enjoying the Slanted family (and a fast Slant) takes a little effort and is worth it!

I'll put up $100 to whoever beats Mike Jeffrey.
 Do I have to whip Mike fair and square on the dragstrip or could I duct tape the Port-A-PeePee door shut so he misses the next round? ....justa a thought......

I'll bring some prizes to toss in the kitty (t-shirts, diecasts, caps etc) I'll also hit the club for a "stimulus package"

My painter had yet ANOTHER heart attack, still no car. I do remain, however, an eternal optimist..............
