I've been using this site for a little while now but I've never posted any pics of my car.
My Grandma was the original owner of my 1962 Valiant S Series, she won it in a raffle in '62 and gave it to me in '93.

Here's some pics.

I guess you can't really put on a Slant Six Forum bumper sticker, then, can you?

I don't have much room to talk - My Valiant was the last car my grandfather bought.

Really good looking car!

I wish I could, but sadly she passed away in '94.
I'm sure she still watches over her car, and I know she's my co-pilot when I run down the 1/4 mile. She was never shy of giving the Slant 6 a bit of a workout.

Here's an engine bay pic. Not exactly how it was when my Grandma owned it.........at least the engine block is original. :)

Curious about the headers or extractors as you guys refer to them down under....what brand are they...are they still readily available and will they work on the left hand drive valiants?? thanks, nico

Thanks. The headers are made by Genie Headers in Australia. They are readily available in Aus, but I doubt it would be worth the $$$ and effort importing them to the States. I would expect the steering box on LHD cars to cause some clearance issues. They are good pipes though, the mandrel bends help a lot with exhaust flow, and they sound great ..........especially up around the 5000rpm mark.

The rims are a recent(ish) addition(2005) when she had the car it was 100% all original. The original rims just got too rusty, I may one day use the centres out of them and put them into some wide 15" outer rims. Have the old look with some fat rubber. :D
