I have a 1982 slant six that I want to rebuild. But I don't know where to begin. I also was wondering about how interchangable all the slant six's are, for example ( can I take a 1970 head and put it on a 1982 block). I also want to do away with the egr system, the emission system and the computer that is mounted to the side of the air filter holder. I basicly want to build it down to a 1960s slant six.

Its a D-150 truck.
