My '78 D100 idles fine, but once you put some gravity on the gas pedal it craps out. 80K+ on the clock, been sitting for years, I need a new or rebuilt carburetor.

Any advice on a good rebuilder? Preferably an online outfit. Please don't say 'do it yourself,' my hands shake too bad for that.

I think Dan found a good outfit in Western Canada.

I've had good luck with rebuilt by Holley carbs. Summitracing has them.
The parts house rebuilds are almost in every case junk.

There was a specialty shop in Albany Oregon some years back, but I haven't been up there in a few years. You should be able to find a solid shop up in your area to do that work.

For just a tad more money as buying a rebuilt, you may be able to get a NOS from Dan. Very nice stuff!

Well, off to the shop to rebuild a Holley 4705 off an F800! Weird carb! :?

I used Savas Tuning they are kind of out there by you in Milwalkie OR . I had then do my 2 bbl. I haven't installed it yet but it looks like new and they are doing my Carter off my 78 Adventurer now. They came highly recommended to me by a friend.

You bet! the best I have found is:

Joe's Carburetors Inc.
5516 186th PL S.W.
Lynnwood, WA 98037-4325

(425) 774-5504

These guys are great! and stand behind their work. They also have parts that go back for years that most carb shops
do not carry or care about. A fantastic group of guys, a very rare breed. I highly recommend them. :D :D :D
They have shared and taught me allot!
