I think the carbs are Carter BBS? This is my first time dealing with this manifold,any tips?

Yep, that's a pair of BBSs. See discussion of this manifold setup here, here, here, and here. I don't recall what year and model vehicle you're working with, but unless it's a '60-'66 slant-6 A-body (or a '60-'62 slant-6 big car), you'll have to custom-fabricate a throttle linkage. If yours is an automatic transmission, you'll have to fabricate a kickdown system as well. See this thread for kickdown options.

Nice find!

Slantsix Dan directed me to the Bouchillon Kick-down Cable set-up, their throttle cable adapter, and I'm glad he did. You will find these two devices will more easily solve your adaption problems where your car is a 67', and has a cable operated throttle.

Are you running the dual 1 bbls? I thought it was a nice find aswell Usually the seem to go for a bit more.

raPoM: No. I'm using a Clifford 4v intake with a Holley 390 cfm 4v, and Clifford shorty headers. This what was on the car when I purchased it February 2008.

I have since changed out the manual valve body to a normal shifting VB which required the addition of a kick-down cable. I used the Bouchillon cable, per Dan, with their cable bracket that hooks to the carburetor. With my set up it was a no brainer.

Hello, all. New to the site. I have the Offy 2X1bbl intake with Holley 1920's on my 225. I've run it on the street relatively trouble free for nearly 10 years. Once you get the jetting issues squared away, and find good carb cores to rebuild,the driveability is far better than the single 1bbl arrangement. I actually found the mileage to be better on the highway since the engine didn't have to work as hard to get up to and maintain speed as well. Plus, it's always nice to lift the hood & see peoples reaction when they see the dual carbs with the stock air cleaners in place. Probably not the most hi-tech induction system, but for a stock to mildly modded slant works very well.

They are very sweet. I just sold it to a fellow member,hope he is very happy with it. My plans go far beyond mild,so I think I will be going with the clifford.

BTW, as far as the Offy 2X1bbl intake is concerned, does anyone know where to get the Offy linkage kits for apps' with A.T.? I believe the part # is 5041K. Any help would be appreciated.

I ended up buying this setup. It's going on my '64 Valiant along with a swap of the auto to a 4-speed. My 225 is all stock and I think this will work well. The visual is pretty unique, and it should run better than the single 1-bbl. This is a job I look forward to.
